Two Rules to a Denim on Denim Look
As I was trying to come up with an outfit post last weekend, I decided to peek into Jude's closet and see if I could find something that would look great with a piece from my closet. I'm sure I am not the only one who feels sick and tired of their clothes sometimes. Well, whenever I feel like that, my style gets a little transformation, which I get from Jude's closet.
I found this cool denim shirt, and I paired it with my jeans, and these lavender wedges. The heels match the end of the shirt's sleeves, which I thought was super cool. When it comes to wearing a Canadian tuxedo, I always make sure to follow either one of my two rules.
I never wear the same type of denim for my top and bottom. Don't do it unless your purpose is to look super matchy. Think of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's all denim date outfit. It wasn't that great, right? Too matchy matchy does not look good. My second rule is to have some other popping colours in my look. This time, I used both of those rules.
As you can see, my jeans and shirt are completely different shades, and the lavender on the shirt and wedges give this look an extra sparkle. Use these two rules together or separate when you wear denim on denim, and you will never go wrong with such look.
Do you like wearing denim on denim? Or is it completely out of your comfort zone? Share in comments! :)
Thanks for stopping by, and see you in my next post!
