How to Spice Up a Black Outfit!
Black outfits are for sure my favourites to wear! I don't care what season it is, black clothes look amazing any time of the year. I haven't done an all-black look in a while. My last one was over a year ago! Definitely check it out, and let me know which one of these two is your favourite. It is a completely different all-black look! :)
So first, let me share my ideas on why black outfits are so worth wearing! First of all, it looks amazing on any skin tone. An all-black look will make anyone look elegant and edgy at the same time. Second, if you are a clumsy person (me!) who spills their food often, wearing a black outfit will hide any consequences of your clumsiness. If you have read one of my previous posts about colour coordinating your outfits, you don't even have to worry about that when wearing an all-black outfit! Another important reason is that it makes any figure look more flattering. Black colour visually makes you look smaller, and you don't even need to work out! How freakin' awesome is that, right?
So here is my idea of how to spice up an all-black look: simply add a different colour accessory! It can be a purse, hat, scarf, shoes, bracelets, chokers, earrings, or even bright colour lipstick! You let your creativity loose and think of a statement piece (or two) that will look amazing with this edgy look. However, do not add too many accessories or statement pieces. One or two is enough!
In this look, I added a maroon velvet choker, which serves as an addition to this outfit rather than a statement piece. The shoes in this look are my statement pieces, because of how unique they are! The shoes are also black, but they have pretty cool prints on them - stars, bright red lips, and colourful rainbows. You can definitely notice them from far away, and that is exactly what you want when diversifying your black outfit!
