How I Met My Husband!

I feel like I haven't written personal posts in a while. I really have been focusing on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. Even though I have so many awesome ideas to share with you, I also think it is important to share a little bit more about myself. I mean, we all want to relate in some way to the bloggers that we follow, right? I am a regular girl, just like you! So today, I thought I would share how I met my husband. And I am hoping that you could also share your love stories with me in the comments. :)

So I met Jude when I was 16 or 17... Around that age. At that time, I had a boyfriend, and Jude was dating my boyfriend's sister. LOL! The funny thing is that I don't really remember meeting him, but he does. He always makes fun of me for not remembering that first time. What can I say, I have a bad memory sometimes. To be honest, those years are kind of a blur, because I was still dealing with adapting to a new country, culture, people, and also trying to figure out who I was.

According to Jude, we met near the church that our exes attended. I seriously have no recollection of that, but let's roll with it. So apparently, he saw me standing next to the church, all gorgeous and stuff (I assume that is what he thought lol), and my BF at that time introduced us.

After that, we did not talk for a while, until maybe six or seven years ago when we started talking on Facebook. I swear girls, Facebook was like Tinder back in the day. I mean, I am sure people still hit each other up on that platform, but it's a little different. We talked literally for hours every single day. Well, who doesn't during their honeymoon period, right?

So let me get to the fun part, which was our first meet up. I won't call it a date because it just wasn't! Haha! It was in the spring. I actually remember what I wore that day: denim capris, white T, denim vest, and blue wedges. I also had long hair. Oh, I miss my long hair! Anyway... That day, I was hanging out with some of my friends. Jude lived 45 minutes away so he wasn't always in my area. He often invited me to spend time with him and his friends, but I always said no. However, that night, my answer was finally yesss!

He picked me up with his cousin, and the three of us went to a bar. You see why I don't call it our first date? Haha! We had some beer and ended up dancing and kissing for the rest of the night while his cousin sat by the bar! Poor guy. Then they brought me home, and that was our first night actually spending time together. Haha! This story cracks me up every time I think about it.

We didn't have this super romantic date, and that is okay. It turned out the way it was supposed to. It was fun, and the most important thing is that it was the beginning of our journey together. Eventually, we started dating, then he proposed to me, we moved in together, and now we are married. Our story might not seem as perfect, but it is for us. :)

I can't wait to hear your stories! Please share. :)
